Bosom Buddies is an education and support group for women with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Meetings are for patients only. Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Breast Care Center, 2nd floor, Domino Pavilion.

An empowering group of women welcomes anyone who has been affected by all stages of breast cancer from diagnosis to treatment and recovery or loss. Meets the first Tuesday of every month.

Lymphedema Support Group
Persons with lymphedema, friends, and family are welcome. It is open to the public so anyone interested in learning about lymphedema may attend. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each quarter (Jan, Apr, July, Oct) from 4-5 pm at 4519 Westbank Expressway in Marrero.
Interested parties can call (504) 349-6259 to RSVP for a meeting, to speak with a certified lymphedema therapist, or to find out the meeting topic and/or guest speaker.

Meets Monthly ~ Provides support and education to individual’s diagnosed with breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group
Meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:00 pm at the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, 1203 South Tyler St., Covington
Sometimes it can be hard to talk about how it feels to have breast cancer and how to manage the many emotions that come with the diagnosis. Talking with others in a supportive environment is an effective way to manage these feelings. This free support group will be a facilitated by Melinda Breaux, a licensed professional counselor and breast cancer survivor. The support group is open to anyone currently receiving treatment or who has completed treatment for breast cancer. Everyone is invited regardless of where treatment was received.

Support Groups to Meet Your Needs
Can’t get to a meeting? Treatment and travel can hinder participation in meetings or you may need more support than a once a month meeting. Cancer Care, a non-profit organization, offers numerous telephone or online support groups. All groups are free of charge and are led by an oncology social worker. Meetings are held the last Thursday of the month at 4 pm. Provides support, education and resources to breast cancer survivors.
