Request for Application (RFA)

The Request for Application (RFA) is built around the Susan G. Komen New Orleans’ Funding Priorities which convey the guidelines for the types of programs we are willing to fund. The Funding Priorities and RFA are both based on findings from our 2015 Community Profile.

The RFA also sets the rules for applying for Komen Affiliate grants, including deliverables under the grant contract, evaluation criteria, grants structure and budget and other qualifying guidelines that must be met before the proposal is sent to review.

The 2017-2018 Request for Applications (RFA) for Komen New Orleans Community Grants is now available. Applications must be submitted via the GeMS online system by Monday, January 30th at 5:00pm. Please use the user guide below for instructions on how to navigate through GeMS.

How to Apply for Small Grants

Small Grants (SG) are not simply a smaller version of the Community Grants (CG) program, but an opportunity for the Affiliate to explore different avenues to reach new communities, fund capacity building projects and further develop partnerships.  The Small Grants program requires a less rigorous application process and are awarded year round.

Instructions for Small Grant applications can be found in the Small Grant Guidelines.  To obtain a copy, please contact the Komen office at 504-455-7310 or before beginning an application.
