It was a Perfectly Pink 15th Salute to Survivors Luncheon held
on April 30th, 2015 at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans.

Event Co-Chairs, Elizabeth Williams and Torrie Hebert, welcomed our guests including Breast Cancer Survivors, Komen New Orleans Board Members, Volunteers, Grantees and the Media. Musical guest was the Songbird of New Orleans, Robin Barnes and WDSU’s Camille Whitworth served as our Master of Ceremonies.

This New Orleans style Jazz Luncheon was also the event for our biggest mission day of the year – when our investment in local community outreach programs was announced. SGK New Orleans awarded $500,000.00 to local community grantees to help uninsured and underinsured women of New Orleans receive access to critical breast cancer education, screening and treatment services.

Funding for breast cancer screening mammography and diagnostic ultrasounds.

LSUHSC School of Public Health Breast Center ~ $134,671
Funding for advanced practice nurse and diagnostic care coordinator patient navigator.

Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans (CAGNO) ~ $60,000
Funding for breast cancer patients financial assistance with medications, insurance premiums, COBRA fees, co-pays and breast cancer related medical bills.

West Jefferson Medical Center Women’s Imaging & Breast Care Center ~ $36,600
Funding for breast cancer screening and diagnostic mammograms.

East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation ~ $22,229
Funding for breast cancer screening and diagnostic mammograms.

Access Health Louisiana ~ $20,000
Funding for breast cancer screening & diagnostic mammograms.

Mary Bird Perkins at St. Tammany Parish Hospital Cancer Program ~ $19,000
Funding for breast cancer mobile mammography screening.

Cancer Patient Partners ~ $17,500
Funding for breast cancer screening, lymphedema therapy, and transportation.

West Jefferson Medical Center Outpatient Rehabilitation Dept ~ $10,000
Funding for breast cancer survivor lymphedema rehabilitation and compression materials.
