Special thanks to Shalinda Austin and her team from W.R. Grace in Norco for hosting their annual Cook for the Cure 2017! Sales of jambalaya and baked goods helped them raise $1,607 for their Race team, Amazing GRACE. This donation was matched with another $1,607 by W.R. Grace, which put them in Teams Village again this year. And they won for BEST TEAM SPIRIT! We appreciate your continued support!

On Sept 23, 2017 EMS NOLA FITNESS held their annual Party in Pink Zumbathon and it was amazing! We want to give a shoutout to Elba Selva and her team for raising $1,210 for her Race Team, “Pink Rump Shakers” in support of our mission!  Thanks so much!

Thanks so much to this wonderful lady, Treva Brown, who puts on a “Party in Pink” Zumbathon every year at UNO raising funds for The Zumba® Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention which is in partnership with SGK. This year’s event was held Sept 30 and it raised $1300. The reason that Treva holds this event is for her aunt that passed away from metastatic breast cancer. She vowed to herself to always do something to honor her, and hence, UNO Party in Pink was created from small beginnings of funding with her graduate school stipend to bigger and better events made possible by amazing supporters such as UNO Student Government Assoc and Health Blue LA!

Thank you Ladies of Harley from the Mike Bruno’s Northshore Harley Davidson for sponsoring their annual “Save the Boobies” ride on October 14th. This event raised $500 in support of our mission!

Thanks to Northpark Nissan in Covington for donating $25 for every new vehicle sold during the month of October for a total of $875. Their customers got a new car and also a great feeling about buying from a dealership that supports breast cancer patients and research toward the cures. We appreciate you, Northpark Nissan!
